PhD Student at Gijs.me
Gijs Wijngaard (Lead)
As project lead, Gijs architected the overall MCP ecosystem and API design. He implemented the core infrastructure that enabled the three MCPs to work together seamlessly. Specifically, Gijs:
Designed the modular MCP architecture to ensure scalability and maintainability
Developed the podcast-transcript service with ChromaDB vector database integration for semantic search capabilities
Implemented the JSON-RPC protocol handlers across all services for standardized communication
Set up the environment configuration and dependency management for the entire system
Established the Groq API integration for state-of-the-art audio transcription
Gijs Wijngaard, a PhD student at Gijs.me, is a dedicated researcher associated with Maastricht University and the IDS group. With a focus on machine learning and audio/visual data processing, he has made significant contributions to open-source projects like ACES, torchvggish, and open_clip on GitHub. His strong coding skills in Python and proficiency in PyTorch showcase his expertise in developing machine learning systems. Currently employed in a tinkerer role as a Student - PhD / Postdoc in Computer Science or Artificial Intelligence, Gijs Wijngaard's academic pursuits and collaborative nature highlight his commitment to advancing research in these fields.
